Software Engineer

Fabio Fiorucci Frontend Specialist

I build enterprise web applications with Vue 3 and Nuxt 3 and, more recently, work on the backend with Java and Spring Boot. I focus on code quality and on systems that stay maintainable over the long term.

Engineering with precision,
maintainability as a priority

I build enterprise software, mainly in Banking and Corporate, with a focus on the frontend. My goal is to build complex interfaces that stay readable and maintainable over time, not just today.

I mainly work with Vue 3, Nuxt 3 and TypeScript on high-traffic applications with strict security requirements. I have hands-on experience migrating legacy systems from VSTO/COM to modern architectures with OfficeJS and Microsoft Graph API.

My approach puts structural clarity first: well-defined components, separated responsibilities, explicit interfaces. Every architectural choice starts from one question: will this code still be understandable in six months?

Clean Code

Explicit names, short functions, dependencies always declared. Good code should explain what it does on its own, without needing comments.

Principle of Proximity

Logic should live close to where it is used. No premature abstraction: write it first, refactor when it actually makes sense.

Professional path

Two enterprise experiences, on different stacks but with a clear common thread.

    Sydema S.r.l.

Software Engineer — Banking & Enterprise

Development and maintenance of enterprise web applications in the banking sector. I worked on the migration of legacy VSTO/COM systems to modern architectures with OfficeJS and Nuxt 3, integrating Microsoft Graph API to automate document processes and manage company data. Day to day, I design reusable Vue 3 components with PrimeVue, manage complex state and implement granular access control. More recently I started working on the backend too, with Java, Spring Boot and JHipster: I integrated the S3 API for file uploads to Wasabi buckets, with presigned URLs generated by Spring Boot and direct upload from the client.

From analysis to release,
methodically

Every project follows a common thread: clarity before code, structure before features.

  1. 01

    Analysis

I work out the domain, technical constraints and user requirements before writing a line of code.

  2. 02

    Design

I define component architecture, TypeScript interfaces and data flow before implementing.

  3. 03

    Development

I write typed code, reusable components and logic kept separate from presentation.

  4. 04

    Review

Targeted refactoring, code review and optimization before every production release.

With AI, context matters
more than the prompt

I use AI every day, in every phase of the work. The result depends on what it knows before I write the request: rules, architecture, conventions. That's why I build and maintain the context the way I maintain code.

  1. Organization rules Security, dependencies, pipelines: the constraints that apply to every project. always on
  2. Hierarchical CLAUDE.md One per folder: architecture, conventions, decisions already made. + every day
  3. Custom skills Repeatable procedures for technical study, review and design systems. 5 skills
  4. Task A narrow request, with a clear definition of done. 1 goal

Representative work

A selection of projects I've worked on that run in production, each with concrete technical challenges.

Legal Advisory Platform Plugin

Enterprise plugin integrated into Microsoft Outlook, used by law firms and large companies. I handled the full migration from the legacy VSTO/COM architecture to a modern stack with OfficeJS and Nuxt 4, integrating more than 10 Microsoft Graph API endpoints for document automation, calendar management and secure real-time data access.

  • Nuxt 4

  • OfficeJS
  • Graph API

Cause Plugin

Evolution of the GC2 platform toward a modular architecture of independent plugins, built for legal cases, billing and related processes. I designed the entire UI from scratch: reusable components, centralized state management and a granular RBAC system for operator, administrator and supervisor profiles.

RapidGraph

Open-source TypeScript library born from a concrete need: a type-safe wrapper for the Microsoft Graph API that cuts the authentication, token handling and rate limiting boilerplate down to a few lines. It supports Application and Delegate modes, batch processing and native Office.js integration.

  • TypeScript
  • Graph API
  • OfficeJS

Nuxt Skeletonizer

Open-source Nuxt 4 module that generates skeleton loaders automatically from the existing markup, without duplicating components. A scanning engine analyzes the DOM and overlays an SVG layer with zero layout shift, native animations, runtime light/dark themes and full SSR and hydration support.

TinyDI Container

Dependency injection container for TypeScript designed to be fully transparent: no decorators, no reflect-metadata, no runtime magic. Type-safe tokens, singleton and transient lifetimes, explicit error handling (including circular dependencies) and zero runtime dependencies.

Interests & life

Dogs & Agility

I share my life with an Alaskan Malamute. We do agility together, an activity that takes precision, listening and a lot of patience, the same qualities I try to bring to my work.

Home automation & Tech

I'm very interested in home automation. Designing small systems that make everyday life easier is, at heart, the same mindset I try to apply when I write software.

Let's talk

I'm open to collaborating on enterprise software projects, to technical consulting on Vue and Nuxt, or simply to exchanging ideas on architecture and development.
